Amie Lutzenberger Flower Garden, Woodland, WA

My garden is a labor of love and one of my passions. I started smaller but I loved so many plants so it grew and grew! It consists of mostly perennials. I have roses, oriental and asiatic lilies, hydrangeas, daffodils, tulips, hyacinth, calla lilies, lavender, eucalyptus gladiolas, mums, sunflowers, hollyhock, begonias, clematis, peonies, lupine, greenery, lilacs, fruit trees, and my new passion for dahlias. I’ve been gardening since 2009. I’ve planted and propagated many of my plant collections.

I had so many fresh flowers and wanted to share them with others so I started selling bouquets with each being slightly different or as the customer selects different flowers that are in-season.

I created a social media page to share my photos and see what is in season and available to purchase. I am on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube. amiebouquet on Instagram and @AmieBouquetArrangement #AmieFreshCutBouquet!WA

Visitors will have a small town flower grower garden experience and see the rich soil of the Woodland Bottoms.

Peter & Gudrun Mahrt, M3 Ranch & Garden, La Center, WA

This garden ranch is about 30 years in the making, slowly established from an original two acres scotch broom meadow to a planted area developed using low-cost plant starts, cuttings, rare finds and friends’ gifts. The main focus was to frame a view of Mt. Hood, using a natural, low impact lawn, vegetable garden, perennial and flowering shrub beds, and dry land forest garden areas.

A low-cost and natural approach flows through the many plant beds, using organic based and low toxicity practice. An open natural garden brings many challenges, but it turned into a sanctuary for many critters, not only the gardener! Birds, rabbits, coyotes, deer, bugs, and our horses live here. Our approach is “plant enough for all” and practice control where needed. My big passion is soil building by using materials at hand: manure, compost, wood clippings.

Plant collections include hellebore species, easy care perennials, growing along a natural, low intensity lawn, with pathways into the garden in the front and to show off the open space to the mountain view side.
