Bus and large groups over 20 people
Thank you for your interest in the beautiful Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens. This covers commonly asked questions.
During Lilac Days the Gardens are open are 10 AM to 4 PM. Gates close at 4pm. Gardens do not open early or stay open after closing.
During Lilac Days visit Hulda’s beautiful Victorian Home, Gift Shop, Barn Museum and Potting Shed. Stroll through the beautiful fragrant Gardens. Bus groups, assisted living centers, retirement centers, and other groups are welcome.
Accessibility: The Gardens and the NEW Barn Museum are wheelchair and walker accessible. The Victorian Home is not wheelchair or walker accessible. A video in Hulda’s Potting shed continually plays a tour of Hulda’s home. All tours are self-guided.
Admission Fee and Information: During Lilac Days there are docents around the Gardens to answer your questions. Garden visits are self-guided and admission during Lilac Days 2025 is $15.00 per person – cash, check, Visa or MasterCard. We request that one person per bus group collect the admission from all guests on the bus and gives collected admission amount to the gate staff – indicating the total number of guests. This allows guests to go through the gates faster. For groups 12 over more, Bus driver is admitted free. For groups 15 or more, Bus Driver and Guide are admitted free.
Bus Parking: After unloading, bus parking is available in parking lot on North side of the Gardens. At times, it is possible to park small 16-18 passenger buses in the front parking lot.
Attendant for Groups: For the well-being of our visitors, we require that each group have an attendant or guide who will stay at the Gardens with the group and monitor the health and safety of the attendees in their group. As our Gardens are exclusively volunteer operated, we are unable to provide special supervision of attendees. Hulda’s Victorian home is not wheelchair or walker accessible; however, a video of the inside of the home can be viewed in the accessible Potting Shed behind the home.
Restaurants: There are several restaurants and fast food establishments in Woodland that can handle small buses, but only a few such as the Oak Tree, Los Pepe’s, Guadalajara, La Casa Tapatia, Antidote, Mali Thai, and Pizza Factory can handle large 15 plus people groups. For large groups, all restaurants request reservations made in advance. The Ilani Casino at Exit 16 can accommodate large groups in their food court and in other restaurants at the Casino. Please contact them directly for information.
For a list of Woodland restaurants please do an internet search. A list of area restaurants and map will be posted at the gardens for visitors to view or copy. Please make reservations for your large group.
We look forward to seeing your group!
